Spiced Beet and Oat Milk Latte

January 13, 2020 By Patricia 28 Comments

Spiced Beet and Oat Milk Latte is a warm drink that’s a bit out of the ordinary, but I guarantee you’ll enjoy it. This is a fabulous drink whether you’re cutting back on caffeine or simply looking for a warm, non-dairy pink drink!

Spiced Beet and Oat Milk Latte is a tasty non-dairy, warming beverage.

My brother recently told me about a recipe he saw online from his favorite store – Kroger – that he wanted to try: ginger-spiced beet and oat milk latte. I was intrigued!

A container of oat milk sat in my fridge and a can of beets in my pantry. Kroger’s recipe calls for fresh beets, and yeah, fresh is always best, but I needed to focus on my pantry.

Spiced Beet and Oat Milk Latte is topped of with shaved chocolate. What a great beverage!

I got to work and tried this drink! Spiced Beet and Oat Milk Latte won’t replace your morning cup of Joe (at least it won’t mine!) but it makes a great, warm, non-dairy drink to snuggle up with. I didn’t change much about the Kroger recipe aside from using canned beets (much quicker) and different seasonings (you know I love cardamom!).

I was so excited over this tasty, pink drink!

Spiced Beet and Oat Milk Latte is warm and tasty drink for any time of day or night.

Enjoy this latte in the evening when you’re tired of tea and don’t want to head off to bed caffeinated. Try it in the morning after you’ve had your fill of coffee but still want something warm to relax with. And it’s a pretty shade of pink!

Spiced Beet and Oat Milk Latte gets it froth from the blender, and I topped it with chocolate shavings because, chocolate. Did I mention this drink is pretty and pink?

Spiced Beet and Oat Milk Latte is a lovely, warm, non-dairy drink with a pink hue!

Beets, which are low in calories, are loaded with good things like folate, fiber, potassium, and are high in fiber.

I’ve read how studies show beets can help reduce blood pressure, help improve endurance and athletic performance, and can decrease inflammation in the body that could put you at risk for heart disease and cancer. I’m not a healthcare professional, for sure, so check with yours if you have more questions about nutrition and overall health.

Spiced Beet and Oat Milk Latte is a tasty drink that's dairy-free.

This recipe doesn’t include a large amount of beets, but at least you know you’ll have a little extra “something good” in your latte!

Try a few of my other recipes that call for beets: my Beet & Orange Juice Morning Sunrise is ideal in the morning. It’s so colorful!

Spiced Beet and Oat Milk Latte is a little different for a warm, non-dairy drink, and it's wonderful!

Roasted Beet Hummus might be a bit of a surprise to some, but I’m pretty sure you’ll not only love the great flavor of this hummus, but you’ll love the bright, vibrant color, too.

Another favorite beet recipe of mine is Roasted Beet & Farro Salad. This salad is quite filling thanks to the farro, an ancient grain that reminds me a little of barley.

The next time you’re looking for a warm drink to cozy up to, make yourself a Spiced Beet and Oat Milk Latte. You’ll love it!

Spiced Beet and Oat Milk Latte is a delightful, non-dairy drink that will warm you day or night!

It's so pretty, I am definitely interested! I'm always a little nervous to try things with beets though, because I find their flavor to be really strong. However, I am always looking for new morning drinks without caffeine, so I may give this a try next beet season.

Hi Kait - I think this is for you! There are not so many beets in the recipe that it's overwhelming, and the no-caffeine part is great - it's a warm and comforting drink for the a.m.!

Okay, now I'm intrigued! I love coffee, but I try not to drink it past my normal cup in the morning. The problem is I LOVE a warm, cozy drink in the afternoon or evening. But this alternative could definitely do the trick.

I made this recipe this morning and was pleasantly surprised at how delicious this really was I shared this with my hubby who enjoyed it as well. This is a big deal, for he is not a huge fan of beets and usually refuses to even taste test stuff like this when I make it. We shall enjoy this recipe again. Thanks. For sharing.
